What your tires are telling you
Uneven wear is usually a symptom, not the problem. Here's what to look for:
- Edge WearBoth shoulders worn — often a sign of under-inflation.
- Side WearOne shoulder worn — usually an alignment (camber/toe) issue.
- Center WearMiddle of the tread worn — typically over-inflation.
- CuppingScalloped dips — worn shocks, struts or other suspension parts.
- Flat SpotA bald patch — commonly from hard braking or wheel lock-up.
